Full Title:
I can't feel the butterflies in my stomach
Story:
Continuing the sad and depressed theme, this time I present you a picture about loneliness and lost feelings.
I hope you know the feeling, what some people describe as butterflies in stomach. The anxiety, fear, hope, excitement and joy in one package.
It is a great feeling, specially when you'll feel like that around some certain person who also feels the same. The first steps of a wonderful journey.
On the contrary, there is people who can't feel the butterflies like they have been ripped out. May it be caused by depression or whatever it is painful not to feel those happy creatures in your belly.
I hope that you all can touch your stomach and feel the flaps of silky soft wings. And if possible, go out and share that feeling with someone, as it is one of the most precious feelings we can have.
Technical info:
Stepping on some slippery stones here, never been huge fan of macabre art but decided to give it a try. Also the postwork with overlay-layers is maybe bit too much but I got the feeling I was looking for.
Had to make notes so someday I just could stop and study liquids and manipulating them. Not too shabby nevertheless, please hit me a comment if you feel like it.
edit: fixed the liquids a bit
Tools used:
Photoshop CS3, mouse and Leaves' Eyes/Liv Kristine as the music of choice
Time used:
About two hours of image hunting, hour or two trying out the idea before getting the final thought about how to do this,
five hours of editing the pictures
This is intence and harsh.........But I know what it feels like.......May it be good or bad.......theres always them butterflys fluttering around inside of you.....
Thank you for the comment. I do believe, and hope, that the butterflies will never disappear. Even if you can't feel them inside at the moment, there will be a day when their wings will make you feel all weird. ^^
Thank you for the kind words and the !
And it's our priviledge to be able to enter your contest. Thank you again. Hopefully the amount of work doesn't cause you a burnout or something. ^^
